Personal data submitted through the ECSD9 Abstract Submission system is collected and processed solely for the purpose of managing the scientific programme of the 9th European Conference on Scientific Diving (ECSD9).

Personal data is processed for the following purposes:

• Identification of submitting and co-authors

• Management of abstract submission, review, and selection

• Communication with authors regarding submission status and programme information

The processing of personal data is based on the explicit consent of the submitting author and the voluntary provision of the information required to submit an abstract.

Data collected

The following categories of data may be collected:

• Name and surname

• Email address

• Institutional affiliation and country

• ORCID (if provided)

• Abstract title, content, keywords, and selected topic

• Author role (presenting author, co-author)

Data retention

Personal data related to abstract submissions is retained for the duration of the conference organisation and archiving of the scientific programme, or until a request for deletion is submitted, subject to legal and administrative obligations.

Data recipients

Access to the data is restricted to:

• Members of the ECSD9 Scientific and Organising Committees

• Authorised technical administrators of the submission system

No automated decision-making is performed.
